Fee and hours

What about the number of hours that I am present and the compensation?

An average maternity week lasts 8 days. This differs per situation and circumstances. If you intend to breastfeed, you are entitled to 49 hours of maternity care. If you intend to bottle feed, you are entitled to 45 hours of maternity care. The number of hours is determined by the National Indication Protocol (LIP form). Any hospital days will be deducted. If more hours are needed for care, for example for help with breastfeeding or after a difficult delivery, this will be discussed with the midwife.

To begin with, a self-employed person does not differ from a maternity agency in terms of costs. It is often assumed that there are additional costs involved, but this is not the case. Maternity care is reimbursed from the basic health insurance package. In addition, you must pay a legally determined personal contribution per hour.  This is 4.8
0 per hour. This of course differs per insurance policy. If there is supplementary insurance, there is a chance that this contribution will be partially reimbursed.
